Turn Unwanted Items into Cash

Now might be the right time to clean out the closet and turn unwanted items into Christmas cash.

The American Coin Buyers Guild is making a stop in Zanesville.  Manager Fred Dillon said he encourages everyone to start digging and earn some extra income.

"A lot of people have stuff like grandma’s old sterling silver silverware set, and if it’s real sterling, it can bring in quite a bit of money," said Dillon.  "Most people I buy those from have never even used them."

Dillon said collectors are looking for more than just coins and jewelry – rare comic books, war memorabilia and musical instruments are also in high demand.  He said customers are guaranteed to receive the fair market value for whatever they bring to the table.

"We have our own database through our company, and we have quite a few experts," said Dillon.  "They are people who have dealt with coins for 30 or 40 years."

The American Coin Buyers Guild will be at the Muskingum County Welcome Center on Thursday and Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM to 4 PM.
