Two Buckeyes named unanimous All-Americans

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior center Pat Elflein and sophomore safety Malik Hooker became the 28th and 29th Buckeyes to earn unanimous first-team All-American honors Wednesday.
Elflein won the Rimington Trophy, which is awarded to the nation’s best center. He spearheaded a Buckeye rushing attack that finished atop the Big Ten and an Ohio State offense averaging nearly 43 points per game.
Hooker has returned three interceptions for touchdowns, setting the Ohio State record and tying the Big Ten record. The Pennsylvania native has picked a total of six passes on the season.
Guard Billy Price and running back Curtis Samuel also earned first-team All-American honors for the Buckeyes, who are set to meet Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl on Dec. 31.
