Two Car Injury Accident on Linden Avenue

 Sergeant Jon McCoy with the Zanesville Police Department said alcohol is believed to be a factor in a two car injury crash earlier Saturday.

According to Sergeant McCoy the driver of a maroon van was heading south-bound on Linden Avenue when he collided into an unoccupied 2002 silver Mercedes which the driver claims he didn’t see. The driver continued driving pushing the Mercedes approximately 100 to 200 feet south on Linden Avenue, into on-coming traffic and then off the road. The driver of the van has been transported to Genesis hospital by community ambulance. Sergeant McCoy said alcohol may play a factor in the accident however at this time they are still pending investigation.
