Two Fires In Zanesville On Monday Morning

The Zanesville Fire Department got called to two fires that took place Monday morning.

The first fire was at 3 am. The structure fire was on 201 Luck Avenue at a two story residential home. It was determined that it was an upstairs bedroom fire. According to Assistant Fire Chief Doug Hobson, he said that no one was hurt.

The second fire took place right down the street at 1016 Cedar Street at 7 am later that morning. Hobson said it was another structural fire and that upon arrival there were visible flames and smoke showing. It was determined to be a kitchen fire and Hobson mentioned that no one was hurt and that they also saved 6 dogs from the fire.

The Fire Department is currently investigating the causes of these fires and will release that information and the names of the occupants at a later time.
