Two Seriously Injured In Early Morning Accident

The Zanesville Post of the Highway Patrol is investigating an early morning head-on collision between a minivan and a semi tractor trailer. It happened at the intersection of County Road 12 and State Route 83 in Coshocton County around 5:45. Troopers say 61-year-old Randy Dietrich of Dundee, Ohio was traveling west, failed to stop at the intersection and was struck by a northbound semi driven by 61-year-old Daniel Wolfe of West Lafayette. Two passengers in the minivan, John Yoder of Baltic and Atley Yoder of Millersburg were flown by helicopter to Ohio State University Medical Center with serious injuries. Both victims are listed in critical condition. Another passenger and both drivers suffered non-life threatening injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
