United Way Investment Applications & 2-1-1 Call Service Day
The Investment Applications meeting gives organizations and programs the opportunity to come in and learn about the United Way’s investment processes step by step.
New applicants will have a meeting February 11th at 3:30pm at the Muskingum County Library and will have their applications reviewed by the United Way’s investment committee and will make recommendations to the board for funding to begin in July.
Meetings for past applicants and current funded partners will be February 24th also at the Muskingum County Library at 3:30pm.
Becky Clawson, Community Impact Director for the United Way said that one of the ways the United Way stays invested in the community is by keeping the 2-1-1 call service up and running.
“2-1-1 is our free information service that’s available to anyone in Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan counties for services such as food pantry’s, crisis information, and emergency shelters. This past month we have over 800 calls in those three counties, and about half of those were for food assistance,” said Clawson.
Clawson said that they are very excited to announce that for the day February 11th, it’s nation 2-1-1 day. The senate has adopted a proclamation for 2-1-1 day across the state of Ohio to honor the United Way and the 2-1-1 information services.
