United Way is Accepting Applications For Funding

ZANESVILLE, Ohio-Â The United Way is accepting applications for funding.
United Way’s Community Impact Director Becky Clawson said every year the United Way goes through an investment cycle and funds different initiatives and programs around Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan counties.
“This year our funding cycle will start with application meetings. We’ll be training them and going through the grant application process with them. Starting on February 11th if you have never applied before or if you just want to find out more about the application process. And you’ve never been funded before that February 11th meeting is when we are going to be able to help you with that process,” said Clawson.
Clawson said two meetings will be held at the John McIntire Library, one meeting for new applicants and the other for returning applicants. To qualify for funding you must meet either a health, income, or education initiative goal.
“This year we’re trying to be a little more strategic in looking for ways to identify those gaps in programming in our community. And looking for programs to apply for filling that gap,” said Clawson.
