United Way seeks local nonprofits in need of funding

ZANESVILLE, Ohio– The United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties is looking for local nonprofits to invest in.
As a part of their investment process for the 2018-2019 funding, they are looking to sponsor nonprofit programs in the area.
“So we’re really very excited to launch our investment process where we will be investing in programs and initiatives that achieve the goals that we have for the community, and that the community has told us is important for a strong thriving economy in the area of income, education and health,” said Meg Deedrick, executive director of the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties.
In addition to reflecting the organization goals, there are certain requirements the nonprofits must meet. To be considered for the funding the interested group must reflect the same desired outcomes as the United Way.
“If you’re a nonprofit organization or a government entity that are producing these outcomes we want to hear from you and we want to partner with you so that we can maximize resources to make the maximum result,” said Deedrick.
They will be holding a Facebook live meeting for all potential applicants on Monday, February 12, at 2 p.m. where they will answer questions and walk those interested through the application process.
