United Way’s Caped Crusaders

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The United Way of Muskingum Perry and Morgan Counties has a Caped Crusaders program that invites local organizations to participate in fundraising events.

Genesis Healthcare System Director of Marketing and Public Relations Kelley Daspit shared how her organization has partnered with the United Way and will be participating in an upcoming trivia contest.

“Genesis wants to sponsor the United Way’s trivia night in January. We’re so excited to be a part of it. We partner with the United Way on many things. We both have the desire to create healthy communities in our areas and the United Way trivia night is just a really fun night that gives businesses a chance to come out with their employees and have a table and compete for trivia, learn a little bit about the United Way and help raise some funds,” Daspit said.

The January event will offer local organizations an opportunity to network with other local organizations as well as treat their employees to an evening of fun, great food, a 50/50 raffle and auctions that will feature donated baskets, which will help fund the various outreach programs that the United Way carries out throughout the year.

“So there are a lot of local businesses that will participate. Genesis is a Caped Crusader. So last year we were a table sponsor, we want to step up this year and be a Caped Crusader. Local businesses can purchase a table and all of that goes to help the United Way. So we decided to become a Caped Crusader, which is an increased level this year. And so we’ll have a table there full of employees, who are excited to participate,” Daspit said.
