University Names New President

Muskingum University announces its new president ahead of a press conference set for Monday afternoon. 

The University said after a ten month long search, Dr. Susan Schneider Hasseler will succeed Dr. Anne Steele as Muskingum’s twenty-first president. 

Hasseler is currently the Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. There she oversees undergraduate, graduate and continuing education programs, academic support operations and cross-disciplinary centers and institutes.

She also worked with the president and colleagues there to help broaden student audiences and build a sustainable future. 

Dr. Anne Steele is leaving Muskingum having served as president since 2000 leading Muskingum through 16 years of institutional development.
