UPDATE: Head on Collision North of Zanesville

The State Patrol says a drunk driver is to blame as two cars collided on North River Road East Wednesday evening.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. just north of Riverside Park. According to Trooper Troy Hale, an intoxicated Derek Bush, 36, of Roseville was heading north in an Olds 88 and went left of center. He then collided head on with a Ford Focus driven by Charles B. Kinney, 34, of Zanesville who was traveling southbound.
Trooper Hale says Bush sustained minor injuries, but Kinney had to be cut out of his car and sustained several broken bones including a broken femur, tibia, fibula, and a broken arm. He also suffered a large cut to his head.
The two drivers were both transported to Good Samaritan Hospital. Trooper Hale says several charges are pending against Bush including OVI, driving left of center, seat belt violation, and having a fictitious registration.
Genesis Community Ambulance, the State Highway Patrol and Washington Township Fire responded to the scene.
