**update** Sheriff Identifies Woman Found Dead

Muskingum County Sheriff Matt Lutz released a few more details in connection with the discovery of two bodies in a home this week.

They were found Tuesday morning by a neighbor at 5180 west road. Wednesday, Sheriff Lutz released the name of the woman found. She is 77-year-old Carolyn Eileen Porter. Also found in the house was a 64-year-old male who was an acquaintance of Porter. The male’s name is not being released until his family can be notified. An autopsy on Porter this morning, did not reveal a cause of death.

“We really don’t have a whole lot more to add as far as cause of death at this point until we get all those preliminary reports from the second autopsy, and we get the toxicology reports back in,” Lutz said.

The toxicology reports could take between six and ten weeks to be completed. Lutz said there was no indicators of forced entry into the home. However, he said there were some suspicious things in the residence that detectives are looking into. But he said they have no reason to believe there is someone dangerous roaming the streets.

“We’re not pursuing anybody because we’re not sure of what exactly happened there, so as soon as we get evidence or indications if somebody did something to them then obviously our plan of attack changes,” Lutz said.

Lutz could not speak to any wounds on either of the deceased. The incident remains under investigation.
