Update: suspect in robberies in custody

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Zanesville Police Department has arrested a man in connection with two robberies on December 21st in Muskingum County.

Zanesville Police Chief Tony Coury said the suspect name is Harry H. Krouskoupf. He has been charged with Aggravated Robbery and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He is being investigated by Z.P.D. for robbing the CVS on Maple Avenue.

“There was a report there that an unidentified white male came into the store. Didn’t show any firearm but, they believed that he may have had one. He fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash,” said Chief Coury.

Chief Coury said Krouskoupf also matches the description of another robbery that took place at Murphy USA gas station on the Maysville Pike.

“Right now it appears that may be the same suspect but, our detective bureau will be working side by side with Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office to make sure that the person we have in custody is also responsible for their, investigation as well,” said Chief Coury.

Chief Coury said at 4:00 in the morning Krouskoupf was taken into custody by Z.P.D.
