UPDATE: Victims identified in Coshocton County plane crash
COSHOCTON, Ohio– The two people killed in a Coshocton County plane crash Monday have been identified.
According to the Zanesville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a couple from Grafton, Ohio were the occupants of the airplane, a 1971 Beechcraft Bonanza.
Authorities say the pilot, 67-year-old Edward Zezlina and the passenger, 71-year-old Linda O’Brien were killed when the plane crashed into a wooded area off of County Road 401.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office reported receiving a call around 7:25 a.m. from the flight service center in Panama City, Florida, that the airplane dropped off the radar in the Coshocton County area. The plane was traveling from Elyria, Ohio.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the FAA, the National Transportation Safety Board, and local authorities.
