Upgrades at the Zanesville Civic League
The Zanesville Civic League Community Center is making some upgrades.
The center is finally unveiling its brand-new gym floor and logo. The project cost nearly $50,000 to complete, which was funded through a grant from the city. Civic League Executive Director Howard Bailey says the old floor was aging, so it was time for change.
“The floor is a snap-in floor, floating floor. That is a sport’s floor that allows you to play basketball and whatever other sports you’d like on it,” Bailey said.
Bailey tells us the new floor will give the kids better grip and traction as they play on it. He says the center is hoping to feature a basketball league in the near future. The upgraded floor and logo is all a part of a new branding effort by the center.
“We decided to go with a new logo this year, a new branding, and the logo just signifies if you’re looking down on a huddle, four people in a huddle.”
The Zanesvillle Civic League Community center offers a variety of programs to encourage and inspire youth in our community.
