Utility Pole Struck on Sharon Avenue

ZANESVILLE, Ohio–The Zanesville Fire Department responded to the scene of an accident involving a vehicle into a power pole on Sharon Avenue.

It happened around 2:45 p.m. Thursday just down the road from Mother Tucker’s.

Initial reports indicated a vehicle was heading west on Sharon Avenue when it crashed into a utility pole sending wires across the roadway.

Sharon Avenue was closed in that area while crews from the City’s Street Department and American Electric Power cleaned up the scene.

The cause of the accident is not known at this time.
