Veteran Benefit Concert

Here in Zanesville, the Daughters of the American Revolution put on a benefit concert for American veterans. Proceeds went to helping wounded veterans.

The president of the local chapter, MaryAnn Devolld, had this to to say,”We are going to do a special ceremony to honor all veterans, but especially our Vietnam verterans. We are a partner with the 50th anniversary Vietnam Commemoration. We have given pins to some Vietnam veterans in Muskingum county and we’re hoping to give two more today.”

Samantha Roush, vice president of the chapter, did the bulk of the planning for the event. She had this to say about where new members should look for information,” we have genies (genealogists) that will help you track your heritage back to the American Revolution or contact us through our Facebook page or or an Email that you could get and we’ll help you get in touch with our genies.”
