Veterans Day Parade Scheduled

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Saturday November 4, 2017 the Muskingum County Veterans Council is holding the annual Veteran’s Day Parade.
The parade starts at 10:00 A.M. at the intersection of Fourth Street and Shinnick Street. The parade will then travel down Sixth Street turn right onto Main Street and finish on Third Street.

Veteran’s Day Parade Chairman Jeffory Dittmar said this year they want to specially honor all veterans not just veterans from a certain era.
“The first time I planned the theme, I focused on the WWII Korean Veterans, the second one I did the Vietnam Veterans, then the third I did was Gold Star Mothers. So this year I thought that I would just have them all honored.”
“We’re trying to honor them and that’s why the theme is ‘American Heroes’. [This] is to bring people to the side walks, hopefully to bring the [Veterans] out to ride these trucks, and pay a due respect to [the veterans]. 20
Then on November 11, 2017 the Veterans Council will hold a Veterans Hall of Fame Program at the Zanesville – Muskingum County Welcome Center starting at 7:00 P.M. For more information on either event check out the Zanesville Veterans Day Parade Facebook page.
