VFW Post 1058 Bringing Back Annual Kid’s Summer Party

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local organization is bringing back a day full of summer fun for the whole family.

The 5th annual Kid’s Summer Party, hosted by VFW Post 1058, will be on Saturday, July 25th from Noon until 3PM at the VFW.

Shaila Worden, the Banquet Hall Manager, says there will be bouncehouses, misting stations, water volleyball, prizes, food, and fun for everyone that pre-registers for this event.

“We’ll have prizes, we switched up the prizes this year. One ticket per family for a chance at an e-bike, electric scooters, swimming pool, swing set, trampoline, basketball hoop.” Worden said. “So those 8 prizes, one ticket per family, and then every child will receive a ticket for a bike or miscellaneous.”

Kirby Minnich, the Post Commander, says this is one of their favorite things to do for the community.

He says they help not just veterans, they also help the surrounding communities and the kids to have something fun to look forward to each summer.

“We help veterans plus the community here and the surrounding area.” Minnich said.
