Vincent Raymond “Gebby” Gebhart (October 27, 1926 – May 2, 2015)

ZANESVILLE
Vincent Raymond “Gebby†Gebhart 88, passed away on May 2, 2015 at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.Gebby was born in Zanesville on October 27, 1926 to the late Raymond and Garnet Guard Gebhart. He was a member of American Legion Post 29, Crooksville Art Council, Zanesville Appalachian Art Project, Art class at Muskingum County Senior Center, and raised miniature horses. Gebby retired from Burnham Foundry after 44 years and was the owner/operator of Gebhart Signs for over 50 years. He proudly served our country and protected our freedom in the US Army during WWII.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years Betty L. Webb Gebhart of the home, two sons: Vincent E. Gebhart of Florida and Steve L. (Dawn) Gebhart of Zanesville, four daughters: Linda L. Gebhart of Zanesville, Betty S. Gebhart of Zanesville, Vicky L. Hittle of Nashport, and Jessica R. Evans of Zanesville, a sister Vivian Harrier of Zanesville, three grandchildren: Amber Dennis, Elizabeth Gebhart, and Grace Gebhart, three great grandchildren: Breann, Gabi, and Wyatt, and special friends Bonnie (Terry) Mumaw of Zanesville.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Allen Gebhart and half brother and half sister.
Calling hours will be 2-4 and 6-8pm on Tuesday May 5 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday May 6, 2015 in the Snouffer Chapel with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial with full military honors by George Selsam VFW Post 1058 will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
