Viral Music Group Coming to Zanesville
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville Concert Association routinely brings professional musicians from around the world to entertain here locally.
Concert Association President Sheryl Wise and Booking Agent Jim McLaughlin announced an upcoming visit from a popular internet act based out of Florida that has drawn more than 160 million views.
“We’re advertising Voctave, which is going to perform at Secrest Auditorium this Sunday at 3 O’clock. This is an 11 member singing group that is fabulous. There’s no instruments except the voice, the human voice, and they will be doing Disney to Broadway,” McLaughlin said.
The Concert Association strongly promotes the educational creativity that arts and entertainment performances can inspire in the youth. Voctave will hang around an extra day to perform the annual countywide Fourth Grade field trip concert.
“This is something we have done for many many years, thanks to our Zanesville Concert Association Foundation. And also the Straker Foundation provides funding so that every Fourth Grader in the Muskingum County area has the opportunity to come for free to hear this group on Monday Morning. And that provides for bussing and substitute teachers if they need those and the kids get to come see our wonderful Secrest Auditorium as well,” Wise said.
Sunday’s concert will be free for children and students with a current ID. McLaughlin encourages adults to purchase season memberships, which allows entry for the remainder of the season for concerts here and in Mt. Vernon for around the cost of two concerts.
