Virgil R. Pickrell, 73 of Zanesville, passed away Friday October 9, 2015 at Genesis Hospital. He was born in Zanesville on May 6, 1942 a son of the late Virgil Clyde and Gertrude Louise Johnson Pickrell. He worked for Robert Neff and Sons Trucking as a truck driver. Virgil loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. Throughout life he loved to go fishing, hunting, shopping and camping.
Virgil is survived by his wife Marilyn Fisher Pickrell; two sons Virgil W. (Tonia) Pickrell of Copley, OH and Darrin E. Pickrell of Zanesviile; one sister Carol Pickrell (Charles) Lewis of Zanesville; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his dog “Lucy”.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Ronnie Pickrell.
Calling hours will be held 2-4 and 6-8 on Tuesday October 13, 2015 at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 14, 2015 in the Snouffer Chapel with Pastor John Sensabaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Zanesville Memorial Park.
