Wanda Stewart

Wanda Howard Stewart, 90, of New Lexington, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 24, 2026 at the Aviata Post-Acute Care of New Lexington, Ohio.

Born January 18, 1936 in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Jake and Dala Cox Howard.

Wanda will be lovingly remembered for her devotion to her family and the joy she brought to those around her. She was an avid basketball fan who especially loved cheering for the Kentucky Wildcats. She was also a loyal Cincinnati Reds fan and took great delight in watching her beloved red birds.

Wanda enjoyed bowling and treasured the friendships and laughter that came with it. Some of her happiest moments were spent with her husband Harry, especially when the two of them would take to the dance floor and “cut a rug.”

Above all, Wanda loved her family deeply. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and caring spirit will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.

Survived by her son, Jake (Milissa) Stewart; daughter, Dala Stewart; daughter in law, Debbie Stepp; grandchildren, Erica Stepp, Jake (Joan) Stewart, Chase (Kate) Stewart, Connor Stewart, Kacy (Craig) Davisson, and Katy Stewart; great-grandchildren, Mikaela Smith, Jaxson Stewart Davisson, Reese, Ridge, Ryan, Henson, and Sylvie Stewart; and a great-great-grandson, Laison Studer.

In addition to her parents, preceded in death by her husband, Harry Stewart; and her son, Steven Stepp.

Calling hours will be held from 10:00am-12:00pm with funeral service be at 12:00pm with Pastor Kristin Santiago officiating on Monday, August 31, 2026 at the Roberts-Winegardner Funeral Home, 304 Mill Street, New Lexington, Ohio.

Burial will follow at the New Lexington Cemetery in New Lexington, Ohio.
