Washington Twp. Fire Department’s Fundraiser to Support Local Heroes
ZANESVILLE, OH – The Washington Township Firefighters are launching a fundraiser to raise money for the fire station.
The fire department will be sending out letters to residents, asking for donations. As a thank you, each family that donates will have the opportunity to get professional portraits taken at the station and receive a free 8 x 10 family photo. This special event will be held on July 20th, and pets are welcome to join the fun.
“At the bottom of the paper, you can fill out your name, your phone number, and your address so we can contact you. Then, we’ll have a professional company come in and they’ll take your pictures. You’ll also have the opportunity to buy more after that if you want to,” Washington Township Firefighter, Jeremy Keffer said.
The proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards maintaining the fire station, upgrading equipment, and purchasing the gear firefighters need to do their job safely and efficiently.
“We’re having this fundraiser to raise money for new equipment and upgrade equipment and so forth around here. As we all know, times are getting tougher and tax money just isn’t enough to cover expenses,” Keffer said.
If you have any questions about the fundraiser, please call the fire station’s non-emergency number at 740-452-2221.
