Wayne V. Hartong (November 30, 1951 – February 17, 2012)

Wayne V. Hartong, 60, of Zanesville, died at 5:52 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Wayne was born November 30, 1951 in Massillon to the late Wilbur and Pauline Huff Hartong Sr. He was the Owner and Operator of Wayne’s World Trucking. He attended Westwood Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Mildred E. Moore Hartong whom he married on September 12, 1970, of the home; a daughter, Nora (Scott) Miller Jr. of Zanesville; and three granddaughters, Katie, Megan and Charlie Miller; a brother, Richard Hartong of Carrollton; a sister, Barbara Hoover of Wadsworth; a sister-in-law, Monna Hartong of North Canton.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Hartong, whom died on September 26, 2011; an infant sister, Beverly Hartong; a brother, Wilbur Hartong II. and a brother-in-law, Gary Hoover.
Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville and one hour prior to services at the church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Westwood Baptist Church 2395 East Pike, Zanesville with Pastor Mark E. Ballmer officiating. A dignified cremation will be held with a private family burial at a later date.
