Week 12 playoff football preview

The Philo Electrics, Newark Catholic Green Wave and Coshocton Redskins are all putting their seasons on the line this week in high school football regional semifinal action.

The #8 Electrics are taking on #4 Shelby at Westerville North High School Friday night at 7:30 in Division IV. Philo upset top-seeded Heath 42-7 last week. The Electrics are looking to advance to the regional final for the first time in school history.

In Division VI, #5 Newark Catholic is set to battle #8 Bishop Ready Friday night at 7:30 at Sheridan’s Paul Culver Jr. Stadium. The Green Wave edged Bellaire in the first round of the playoffs, 21-20.

The Coshocton Redskins are awaiting unbeaten Garaway in Division V action Saturday night at 7:00. The #3 ‘Skins downed Ironton, 34-11, at Stewart Field last Saturday, and will look to keep the ball rolling against the #2 Pirates at Triway High School.
