Wendy’s To Sell New Bakery in Zanesville

Wendy’s announced Wednesday that it’s selling the New Bakery Company in Zanesville.

It employs 320 people between the two facilities in Muskingum County. The company hopes as part of the sale it will get an agreement with the buyer so the bakery will still supply Wendy’s Restaurants.

The company expects the transaction to close this month. The New Bakery supplies over 700 company owned Wendy’s and over 2000 franchise restaurants. It was purchased by Wendy’s in 1981.

It also makes products for other food products businesses and grocery stores.
