West M’s Sesay Leaving Ohio State for West Liberty

ZANESVILLE, OH
After one season at Ohio State, West Muskingum alum Rashid SeSay has announced on social media that he will be transferring to West Liberty University in West Virginia.
The Zanesville native confirmed the decision on social media, saying that he is making the decision to play on a scholarship for the Hilltoppers in 2025.
SeSay joined the Buckeyes as a preferred walk-on after a sensational career as a Tornado, while shattering league records along the way. The star running back set a Muskingum Valley League mark with 42 touchdowns as a senior, culminating a career where he set school records for rushing touchdowns (40), receiving touchdowns (19), and total career touchdowns (63).
The former Tornado also helped lead West M to a small school division title in 2023 while being named as a finalist for “Mr. Football” in Ohio.
As a freshman with the Buckeyes’ program, SeSay did not feature in a game, sitting behind the likes of TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins among others.
West Liberty is a Division II school in the Mountain East Conference. The Hilltoppers finished 2024 with a 2-9 record.
