WHIZ and its staff held a Flood Collection Event at the Ohio University-Zanesville Campus to support residents affected by recent flooding in Roseville and Crooksville.

Community members came together to donate essential supplies and monetary contributions to help flood victims recover and get back on their feet.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Roseville Donation Center, with additional support going toward the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties emergency relief efforts.

WHIZ Chief Meteorologist Keaton Lewis, who provided extensive coverage of the flooding, said the area experienced significant rainfall that caused devastating damage for many families.

WHIZ thanks everyone who donated and continues to encourage those looking to help to contribute to local flood relief efforts.

Donations can also be made through the United Way of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan Counties emergency relief funds.
