WHIZ Remembers Mahlon Rouch
WHIZ is mourning the loss of one of our own.
Longtime sports anchor for WHIZ-TV and radio Mahlon Rouch has died at the age of 78. He passed away Friday night at Autumn Health Care following a lengthy illness.
Rouch graduated from Bowling Green State University, where he played football and served as the college radio sports director. He began his career with WHIZ in 1962 and became the voice of Zanesville High School sports.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday at the Hillis and Hardwick Funeral Home, where a celebration of life service will be held at 1 p.m. A private service will follow at a later time in Woodlawn Cemetery.
