Wilds Baby Rhino Named Firefly

The Wilds newest rhino now has a name.
 

Facebook fans "like" the name Firefly for the female calf born in January.

The Wilds received more than 700 name suggestions during its week long naming contest.

The Wilds staff narrowed it down to three finalists,Firefly, Sparks and Spit Fire with Firefly winning the most votes.

Wilds officials say they’re happy with the name because it reflects the calf’s father’s name Fireball.

Firefly  is the eighth southern white rhino born at the conservation center located in Cumberland.
