Wilkey Enters Not Guilty Pleas

A Zanesville man facing multiple charges including attempted murder appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court for his arraignment Wednesday. 18-year-old Deylen Wilkey of Cliffwood Avenue entered a plea of not guilty to two counts of attempted murder, two counts of felonious assault, two counts of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and tampering with evidence. Judge Mark Fleegle continued his bond at one-million dollars. Wilkey is one of two men charged in connection with a December 11th shooting at 1236 Woodlawn Avenue that injured two people. The other person charge in the case, 18-year-old Robert Barr of Zanesville, also plead not guilty to multiple charges in including attempted murder, aggravated robbery and aggravated burglary. Police say the motive in the shootings was robbery.
