William “Bill” L. Sharkey (October 31, 1938 – March 31, 2015)

William “Bill” L. Sharkey , 76 of Zanesville died at 3:10 AM Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at the Genesis Morrison House Hospice following a lengthy illness.
He was born on October 31, 1938 in Zanesville the son of Warren and Mary Williams Sharkey.
Bill retired after almost 40 years of service as a truck driver for the Pepsi Cola Beverage Company. He was an avid NASCAR fan & for many years enjoyed racing at the local tracks.
He is survived by a son, Robert (Gail) Sharkey of Zanesville & a daughter, Tammy (Al) Huffman of Nashport; 5 grandchildren, Megan (Craig) Young, Katherine Clewell, Rachel Sharkey, Jared (Lauren) Huffman & Stephanie (David) Huff; 7 great grandchildren and a sister, Pat (Arlan) Ward of Florida. Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Friday, April 03, 2015 at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. No funeral services will be observed.
