William “Bill” Morris (May 9, 1930 – January 3, 2011)

WILLIAM H. MORRIS, 80, formerly of Duncan Falls, passed away 3:15 pm, Monday Jan. 3rd 2011 at his German Village Residence.

William was born May 9, 1930 in Zanesville and is the son of the late Charles and Esther (Boetcher) Morris. He worked for Beneficial Finance as a Senior Manager retiring in 1985. He was a former member of the Elks, Eagles and FOPA all of Zanesville and previously served on the Duncan Falls / Wayne Township Fire Department. He was a member of the St. Marys Catholic Church in Columbus, and a member of the Ernest G Walsh Post #246 of the American Legion and he served his country in the US Army and the US Air Force.

William is survived by his wife Lois (MacLaine) Morris whom he married Feb 18, 1954; his son Michael (Amy) Morris of Zanesville; his daughter Patricia Morris of Columbus: his grandchildren, Chris (Christine) Morris of Pickerington, Amy Morris of Atlanta, Ga, Lindsay Morris of Zanesville and his two great grandchildren William Lloyd Morris and Emily Christine Morris.

Visitations will be 4 to 8 pm Wednesday January 5, 2011 at the Thompson-Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am, Thursday Jan 6, 2011 at St Thomas Aquinas Church, Zanesville. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery with full military honors provided by George Selsam Post #1058.
