William Rucker Jr.

William A. Rucker Jr., 80, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Willow Haven. He was born July 25, 1945, in Zanesville to the late Elsie L. Ford Rucker Kelly Agin and William A. Rucker Sr. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #302 for many years, where he served as a Past State President, National Party Room Co-Chair and International Sports Director. He also served locally as a Past President, Trustee, Treasurer, Secretary and Auditor. William was employed as an Inspector for Dow Chemical.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Massey Rucker; two sons: William A. (Tina) Rucker III and Steve Rucker; a stepson Ronnie Kelso; grandchildren: Billy & Keri Rucker and Heidi and Shawn Calendine; two great grandchildren: Paige Calendine and Cayden Rucker; sister Susan Irene Rucker (George) Meredith; a brother Charles F. Rucker (Paula) Sr.; many nieces, nephews and many more friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Ann Louise Rucker (Bob) Mohler.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME, 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD, ZANESVILLE, OHIO has the distinct honor of serving the Rucker family.
