Williams Enters Plea In ZPD Dog Bite Case
A Zanesville man charged in connection with a theft that resulted in a dog attack which injured a police officer enters a plea in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. 44-year-old Jason Williams is facing 6 charges including aggravated robbery, felonious assault and tampering with a coin machine. Wednesday the defendant pled not guilty. Judge Mark Fleegle continued Williams’ bond at $150,000. Police say on September 5th Williams is accused of breaking into a garage on Findlay Avenue and stealing a shop vacuum which was used to steal quarters from a coin operated car wash on State Street. Captain Tony Coury says when Williams was spotted by a police officer he fled to 1026 Lee Street where the officer pursued and was bit by the dog released by Williams.
