Wilma Brown

Wilma Joann Brown, 89, formerly of Keithtown, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at Arbors at Carroll in Lancaster, OH, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in 1935 in Keithtown, Ohio, daughter to the late Herman and Wineva Farson. She was a longtime member of the Ullman St. Church of Christ. Joann held an array of jobs over the years, the last being a historical tour guide in Blennerhassett Island State Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Billy Brown; one brother, Melvin Farson; six sisters, Evelyn Chapman, Delores Tidd, Imogene Henthorne, Patricia Garrett and Donna Henthorne.

Joann leaves to celebrate her life, a daughter Tricia Brown Rhyne and son-in-law Thomas Rhyne of Lancaster, OH; two sisters, Leona Woodford of Columbus, OH, and Shirley (Ron) Sigman, of Caldwell, OH; brother-in-law, Walter Tidd of Lancaster, OH; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

Per Joann’s wishes, cremation has been chosen. The cremated remains will be buried in Keithtown Cemetery. Donations in Joann’s memory can be made to the Ullman St. Church of Christ, PO Box 667 Beverly, Ohio 45715. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES, 414 LaSalle St., Zanesville, OH is serving the family.
