Witches Gather for Local Pre-School
Nearly 165 witches flew in to the Zanesville Country Club Friday afternoon.
It was the 3rd annual Witches Luncheon and Tea to benefit the Zanesville Day Nursery. The nonprofit pre-school relies solely on fundraisers and grants to operate. Executive Director Angie Kaiser said without the support tuition prices would rise.
"That’s one thing we pride ourselves on," said Kaiser. "Our tuition is based off of a parents income, so we’re able to help those in need and keep their kids in a safe environment while their able to go to work and school."
The Zanesville Day Nursery has been in operation for 96 years. The fundraiser will raise an estimated $5,000 to go towards educational material for the classroom.
"We’re very fortunate in Zanesville," said President of Board of Trustees Janet Stewart. "We really have people that really care about our community and what we’re doing."
