Woman identified in 1990 Jane Doe homicide case

LICKING COUNTY, Ohio – The victim in a 1990 Ohio cold case, has been identified.

On April 19, 1990, the Licking County Sheriff’s Office began the investigation of a homicide that became known as the Jane Doe case.

The victim that was left dead at the rear of a truck stop in the 1000 block of Lancaster Rd. in Hebron, has been identified as Patrice Corley.

In October of 2016, a family member of Corley’s, filed a missing persons report in Louisville, Kentucky.

This triggered a DNA sample of a family member to be submitted to the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System by the Louisville Metro Police Department, leading to a match and positive identification of Corley.

The Licking County Sheriff’s Detectives have traveled to Louisville.

The investigation is active and ongoing.
