Woman Struck by SUV Dead

The Lancaster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol says a woman is dead after being hit by an SUV.

It happened on Coonpath Road in Fairfield County around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning.

Lieutenant G.D Lewis Jr. says 27-year-old Susan Blade was out of her disabled car when she was struck by 68-year-old Mona Berry.

Blade was pronounced dead at the scene. Berry did not receive any injuries as a result of the accident.

Lewis says the crash remains under investigation, but he does say alcohol is not expected to be a factor in the crash.
