Woofgang the Puppy Needs a Forever Home
ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s K9 Adoption Center Pet of the Week is Woofgang. This seven-month-old pup may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s full of love, energy, and tail wags.
Woofgang was abandoned at a young age, but he hasn’t let that dim his playful spirit. He’s great with kids, friendly with other dogs, already neutered and is ready to find a loving home.
“He’s very scared. When a dog is abandoned, they don’t have any idea why. And when they’re left out to take care of themselves, they’re not sure which way to go. It’s a very sad story. So. with this guy here, it’s going to take a little bit of time. He’s a little bit afraid,” Muskingum County K-9 Adoption Center Volunteer Doug McQuaid said.
Puppies like Woofgang bring so much joy, but they also need training, patience, and a lot of playtimes. Adopting a young dog is a big responsibility, but one that comes with endless love in return.
“Always remember, with a pup, it takes a lot of energy from you to take care of a dog on like this. It’s all about routine, maybe getting up in the middle of the night to take him out to go to the bathroom, and getting him to walk, so he can walk with you patiently,” McQuaid said.
