Wrong Way Crash on SR 16

The Licking County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a five-vehicle high speed crash that took place on State Route 16 in front of the Longaberger Basket Tuesday night.

The Madison Township Fire Department responded to the scene and said the crash is reported to be due to a wrong way driver that was traveling westbound in the eastbound lane.

The department said one patient was taken by medical helicopter the other by ground by Newark Medic One.
