Y-Bridge Arts Fest Kicks off Friday

Artists from all across the country will fill Zane’s Landing Park this weekend for a popular Zanesville celebration.

One hundred artists will put their masterpieces on display this Friday and Saturday for the 8th annual Y-bridge Arts Festival. A wide range of art mediums will be for sale, including pottery and fine art.

“We have a full scale of entertainment coming, the ‘Wayfarers’ will be our opening act Friday night, and then there will be entertainment going on throughout the weekend, there will food vendors available and most importantly the children’s area will be set up, and we have The Wild’s bringing wonderful animals from this area for them to see on Saturday,” said Bob Grayson, Co-chair of the festival.

The art isn’t just for the adults, there will be a painting party for the kiddos every hour as well. Also, new to the festival this year will be a painted furniture auction with donations from popular artists and merchants in the community.

“We just wanted to bring something new to the Y-bridge Arts Festival and there’s also going to be an antique roadshow type of thing, so we thought we’d bring something different than that,” said Marilyn Knell, Fundraising Chair for the Artist Colony of Zanesville.

The auction is Saturday at 4:30 p.m. and the Artist Colony of Zanesville will be taking pre-bids through Friday.
