Youth Football Camp Starts Next Week
Rosecrans High School is hosting a Youth Football Camp next week.
The camp starts on Monday and runs through Wednesday from five until eight. Head Football Coach at Bishop Rosecrans High School Jay Campbell said that the three day camp will give young players the chance to bond with experienced athletes in the community.
“We hope for it to be an opportunity for our varsity players to be able to serve as a positive role model and to be able to give back to the younger classes and continue to help build the football program here at Rosecrans,” said Campbell.
The camp is open to all players in kindergarten through eighth grade. It costs just 40 dollars for the first camper and any additional camper in the family costs just 25 dollars. It will include offensive and defensive training as well as guest speakers and Campbell said it’s also about just having fun.
“We’ll have a seven on seven punt pass kick competition, you know we’re just trying to keep it as fun as possible for the kids,” said Campbell.
Each camper will also receive a T-shirt for participating and last minute registration is available up until Monday at the first camp. The camp will be held at the practice field behind the high school.
