Z.A.A.P. Artist Janet Taylor-Lehman

Friday is the monthly First Friday Art Walk which means it’s time to introduce you to this month’s Z.A.A.P. artist of the month.

Janet Taylor-Lehman is a nutrition professor at Ohio University of Zanesville. She began sewing at a young age which sparked an interest in art. Since then she has been developing her individual style of art.

“I’ve evolved over the years,” stated Taylor-Lehman. “I started off doing photography so some of my photographs are here, but I’ve started doing fabric work and that’s what i’m focusing on now.”

As you make your way through Z.A.A.P. Friday you will notice that Tayor-Lehman’s art work may seem small, in fact, all of the art work in Z.A.A.P. this month will look tiny. That’s because this month’s Z.A.A.P. theme is miniature.

“Every month is a different theme, which makes it fun and challenging for the artist and the theme this month is miniature. So we have a lot of different interpretations of the artwork, are they small, or are they small thing,” said Taylor-Lehman.

You can see Taylor-Lehman’s artwork for yourself Friday night from 5:00-8:00p.m. at Z.A.A.P. during the First Friday Art Walk.
