Z.A.A.P. Featured Artist Of The Month

It’s time to announce the Zanesville Appalachian Arts Project’s featured artist of the month.

Erin France specializes in mixed media art.  She takes everyday objects and turns them into unique masterpieces.

"I love dinosaurs, and you’ll see that I do a lot of dinosaur art," said France.  "When I was a kid, I really never played with dolls.  I played with dinosaurs, so you’ll see that theme running through my art."

France is also displaying her photography work for the first time.  She joined Z.A.A.P. over a year ago to connect with the community.

"First Friday is great," said France.  "Not only do we encourage you to stop at Z.A.A.P., but all of the galleries are open," said France.  "There’s just so much creativity in Zanesville."

France’s work will be on display Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Z.A.A.P. Gallery in downtown Zanesville.  The annual art auction, which is a fundraiser for Z.A.A.P., will follow at 8:30 p.m.
