Z-ville Man Sentenced On Child Rape

A Zanesville man is sentenced Tuesday for raping a 3 year old child.  Licking County Assistant Prosecutor Tracy Van Winkle says 21-year-old Michael Collins pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and was sentenced to eight years on the first count and seven years on the second count to be served concurrently for a total of 15 years in prison.  Winkle says the incidents happened between November of 2011 and February of 2012 in Bowling Green Township.  Licking County Common Pleas Judge Thomas Marcelain also declared Collins must register as a Tier 3 sexual offender for the rest of his life.
