ZAAP Gallery featured this month

ZAAP gallery is this month’s first Friday feature.

The gallery features many different styles of art including sculpture, oil, collage and more. Director John Taylor-Lehman said it is great to have this distinction for the month of November.

"One of the things that I think is really special about ZAAP is we always have a new show every month," Taylor-Lehman said. "So when there’s a first Friday it’s all brand new work in the gallery. So that’s something special and unique. What’s also unique is we have a whole variety of artists."

ZAAP features an artist of the month each month, and that allows them to show not only a couple pieces of work, but rather a whole show. Taylor-Lehman said getting this distinction allows them to share the story of the gallery.

"We have a whole range of people and we want to be inclusive to anybody who wants to join," Taylor-Lehman said. "It’s a great opportunity for camaraderie. We have guest speakers at each one of our meetings, so getting our name out there and a little reminder that we’ve been here a long time and people are welcome to come join us."

ZAAP currently has 83 members and has been around since the mid 1990s.
