ZAAP’s “Foot-by-Foot” Finale Hits This Weekend

ZANESVILLE, OH – The Zanesville Appalachian Art Project’s “Foot-by-Foot” fundraiser wraps up this weekend with a fun celebration and your chance to take home a one-of-a -kind piece.

ZAAP has been showcasing works of art all month long, and now it’s time for the final bids. This year’s theme, Inspired by Nature, brought in over 80 creative entries. The closing event will be this Saturday at the ZAAP Gallery from 5 to 8 P.M.

“The Foot-by-Foot Auction is our annual fundraiser. It helps us keep our doors open throughout the whole year. It’s the way we make the most of our money and it’s pretty cool. The entire community is invited to come pick up a free canvas, paint on it, and turn it back in. Then, they get to choose to keep have the proceeds from the bids or donate the full 100% to ZAAP.” ZAAP Director, Shelby Spilker said.

Final bids as well as Juried prizes and the People’s Choice award will be announced at 7:30. Guests can enjoy light refreshments, live entertainment, and place their final bids before the winners are awarded.

“We’re going to have live music, refreshments, a 50/50, and a couple items for raffle. It’s going to be a fun get together for all ages. Anybody’s welcome to come.” Spilker said.

The ZAAP Gallery is located at 625 Main Street in Downtown Zanesville. You can find more details on their website.
