Zane Grey Family Day at Zane Grey Museum

NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Zane Grey Family Day will be held this upcoming Saturday.
The National Road and Zane Grey Museum will be hosting the event to kick off the start of the museum season.
There will also be a baseball game, radio presentation, fishing demonstrations and more.
The community is invited to come as well as any visitors to the area, Betsy Taylor, the Coordinator for Educational projects told us. “So we hope that if they have family visiting or friends visiting from out of the area that they’ll bring their family and friends as a pastime and you know a way for entertainment and education,” she said.

There will be musical entertainment provided by Barefoot McCoy.
Zane Grey Day is free, but the museum does accept donations to support educational programming.
“We welcome everybody and hope they’ll come out, everything is by donation. As for costs, there is no set cost for anything. Believe we have plenty of parking and again, something for everybody,” Taylor told us.
There will also be games and activities for children including cornhole, parachute, sack races, face paintings, and beading and creating a wreath.
These activities were included to show the activities Zane Grey would have completed as a child.
Following Zane Grey Family Day, the museum will be open starting May 1st.
The week of May 1st-7st there will also be $1 tours to celebrate National Tourism week at both museums.
The event is from 12-4pm, AND WILL BE AT 8850 East Pike, Norwich.
